Unfolding: Root to Tip
Spotlight Project
The illuminated installation, Unfolding: Root to Tip, by artist Kristi Farrier, features the marvellous transformation of flax seed to plant.
When planted, flax seeds wait for the right conditions to begin their incredible metamorphosis, emerging from the soil to grow upward to the light with their stalks and flowers while at the same time reaching down into the dark, damp, earth with their anchoring roots.
