Venues, TBA

Join SPEC Drama in a magical, lantern-lit parade. Follow larger than life puppets as they wind their way through the streets of Sydney. Bring a lantern to carry in the parade, or create one of your own in one of three community workshops held at local libraries. Dress up, dress down and help make magic during the Lumière Lantern Parade to mark the opening of the signature Lumière art-at-night event. Parade starts 7:30PM from the Library, 50 Falmouth St.
The Lantern Parade Project was created in partnership with SchoolsPlus, a provincial organization that supports children, youth and families, and SPEC Drama, an after school group active in theatre, art, and outdoor adventure. SPEC Drama has been involved with Lumière in past festivals, both as volunteers and participants.
