Saturday Sept. 23, 7PM-Midnight
Scotiabank lot, 258 Charlotte St.

ENSEMBLE is an interactive multimedia installation inspired by drive-in movie theatres. Scan the radio dial to experience the sounds of a traditional pit orchestra. ENSEMBLE reverses the traditional roles of audio and visual in the context of the drive-in, honouring the audio experience above the visual while encouraging a social engagement in the midst of the privatized space of the automobile.

Hear the artists speak about their work as part of the Lumière Artist Talks, Friday Sept 22, 6:00-8:00PM at St. Pat’s Museum, 87 Esplanade.

"At the Reception" is the collaboration of three interdisciplinary artists, Michael McCormack, Kiersten Holden-Ada, and Zak Miller-Ada, living in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Their work utilizes media technology to activate an interactive, communicative environment in situations initially designed for passive listening or entertainment. ENSEMBLE is their first collective project.
